Los Terreros to Batopilas

Leaving Los Terreros, we descend steeply to the community of Cerro Colorado named for a nearby prominent red mountain which contains an abandoned gold mine. Then it's steadily downstream until we join the confluence with the Rio Batopilas. Here we see the aquaduct built to supply water for the electrical generator in Batopilas. A short distance later we are in town.

** Distances were measured by totalizing GPS track data and thus do NOT take elevation changes into account. These values must be considered to be minimums and actual distances will very likely be somewhat greater.
