Maps Partial sections of three topographic maps are available describing the racecourse. Trail data (obtained by GPS in 4/2002) has been superimposed on the maps depicting the route to be followed by the runners. The maps are metric - thus elevations are given in meters and major divisions represent one kilometer. Click on the trail segment name below to view that map. The image files are large (approximately 1.25 Mb each) and detailed so allow time for downloading (up to 10 minutes for a particularly slow connection). The original map scale is 1:50,000.
* Elevations DO NOT take into account intermediate elevation gain & loss along the trail. This is especially noticeable on the 2nd leg of the trail where the highest point on the trail is approximately 2200 meters. ** Distances were measured by totalizing GPS track data over the trails and thus do not take elevation changes into account. These values must be considered to be minimums and actual distances can be somewhat greater Please consult the maps and contact us if you need more information.
