The histories presented in this section are the result of written research and oral histories. Since this is not a formal research project, sources are not always documented. Unfortunately, much recorded history was lost during the war of the revolution. (yes, Pancho Villa and his troops visited the area). Other important Church histories and individual histories have been destroyed by people who did not know their worth. Still, the limited histories on this site give a valuable insight into the past and are being modified to reflect new progress. We appreciate any contributions that can be made to these pages and are especially anxious to locate historical photographs.
