Alamos, Sonora
to
El Fuerte, Sinaloa
This log covers the dirt road from
Alamos, Sonora to El Fuerte, Sinaloa. Many pueblos have small general stores
and expendios de cerveza (beer stores) but there are few other
services along the road in case of problem. We made the run to El Fuerte in
3.5 hours on Polaris 500 ATVs with only brief stops along the way. Add
another 1.5 hours for trucks and SUVs, more time if you are running in a
group or moving leisurely. This is a fairly easy run but with lots of
intersections and opportunities for disorientation. To help you keep on
track, this log includes lots of landmarks as well as intersections.
