| This has been a unique and wonderful experience! Food superb (too much!) and
we’ve learned to stoke a fire, feeling comfortable all the time. Scenery is
all we’ve read about, and we’ll go away thinking of Yogi Bear up there in
the rock columns….Great Margaritas!--Becky, Washington, D.C. |

Hiking down the rocky trail
Or walking dusty roads
Following the redstarts
Or sketching burro loads
Ogling those canyons
Sipping tasty soups
We’ve marveled at the mesa homes
Ridden bus and railroad loops
Here’s to lolling in the courtyard
Margaritas close at hand
Hale Bopp comet streaming by
To the thrum of a washtub band.

| Some unhappy Italians wrote: Your hotel has same price of
Sheratan towers in New York but the Sheraton has television, phone,
chinaware, etc. Your people did the best to assist us but they did
not have the tools. |
The next guests were from Germany and responded:
No Sir! There is also a quite other point of view. This is a
wonderful place, in my own words I would like to say it in German.
(sorry but I could not make out the German)-- |
| The nature around here made us silent for a while…--Kim, Flanders, Belgium |

revelation, and joy…--Natural Science Guild of the Oakland Museum, Oakland, CA, USA |

There is a song we love about Mexico regarding a
Gringo who meets a lovely señorita and croons "I don't know what
she said but I sure like the way that she said it" We feel
likewise about Shimamura's comment and hope it was nice! |

(this one from a tweenage girl who constantly kept pulling her short
shorts down and her low cut blouse up, when we suggested attire she
did not need to fuss with, she struck a Betty Grabel pose going up
the stairs in the bar---kids!). Her Mom wrote "Thanks for the

best, Doug, don't change anything!--Bridget |

| I had a fear way beyond simple expressions of returning to a horse’s
saddle; but, because of the considerations and encouragement of Diego and Pedro
the fear has been diminished. I almost feel well today. You see, years ago my
horse sent me to the hospital, with many weeks of recovery. Since then I carried
a love for horses along with sad memories of my accident..,they’re gone now.--Pat, Richland, WA, USA |
